World Teachers’ Day is a great opportunity to say “thank you” to your favorite teacher — you know, the one who had the biggest impact on your or your child’s life or education.
Maybe it was the music teacher in elementary school that encouraged your kid to live their dreams and discover their talent. Or the junior high school science teacher that pushed your kid and helped them realize they wanted to go to medical school.
“Celebrated on Tuesday, October 5, World Teachers’ Day commemorates the anniversary of the adoption of the 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers. This Recommendation sets benchmarks regarding the rights and responsibilities of teachers and standards for their initial preparation and further education, recruitment, employment, and teaching and learning conditions,” from the the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Whoever the special teacher is in your or your child’s life, here are some great “thank you” gifts:
For the science teacher:
Is there a high school Anatomy and Physiology teacher you want to thank? Gift them any of our Gray’s Anatomy pieces to hang in their classroom! These pieces are both a great way to say “thanks,” and a bonus educational tool for their class.
What about an elementary school science teacher who’s always encouraging kids to shoot for the stars? Gift them our astronaut space suit patent!
For the history teacher:
Is there a special history teacher who inspires your child? Gift them one of our maps! You can choose a state map, a world map or even a historical map. We even have maps showing national parks, lakes and rivers, U.S. territories and more. Our American flags also make a great gift for a history teacher — or really any teacher — to hang in their classroom.
Was your kid inspired to come out of their shell by their high school drama teacher? Gift them our film reel patent!
Music teacher/band director/choir director:
Is there an elementary music teacher that made you or your child first realize your love of music? A band director or choir director who helped realize a career path? Gift them one of our music patents!
Maybe the favorite teacher is also a coach of a favorite sport. Gift them a sports patent!
